Terms & Conditions

These terms explain the rules for using this website and provide a reusable framework for service enquiries, project scope, payments, responsibilities and other engagement conditions.

LAST UPDATED
Add date

These Terms & Conditions are a general template for governing use of this website and, where relevant, enquiries or services arranged through it. Your actual client agreement, proposal, statement of work, or contract may contain additional or different terms.

Template note: This section is not a substitute for a lawyer-drafted services agreement. Add your real payment, cancellation, jurisdiction, scope, delivery, confidentiality, and dispute terms before publishing.

01

Acceptance of these terms

By using your website domain, visitors agree to use the website in accordance with these terms and applicable law. If a visitor does not agree, they should stop using the website.

Where paid services are provided, any signed proposal, service agreement, statement of work, invoice terms, or written engagement terms may take priority over this website template where they conflict.

02

Permitted website use

Visitors may use the website for lawful informational and business-enquiry purposes. They should not interfere with site security, attempt unauthorised access, misuse forms, scrape restricted content, introduce malicious code, or use the website in a way that could damage its operation or other users.

03

Services, enquiries and scope

Website content may describe SEO consulting, technical SEO, local search, AEO, GEO, AI Search visibility, audits, strategy, or related services. An enquiry, contact form submission, discovery call, or website message does not by itself create a client relationship.

A project should begin only after scope, deliverables, fees, responsibilities, timelines, and any other material terms are agreed in writing through your proposal / contract / statement of work process.

04

Client responsibilities

Where services are agreed, clients may need to provide timely access, accurate information, approvals, account permissions, technical cooperation, content, brand materials, or other inputs reasonably required for the work.

Delays, incomplete information, restricted access, third-party limitations, or changes made without coordination can affect delivery, recommendations, implementation, or outcomes.

05

Fees, invoices and payments

Insert the payment terms that actually apply to your business, including currency, deposit requirements, invoice due dates, recurring retainers, late-payment handling, taxes, refunds, and cancellation terms.

Example placeholder: Invoices are due within X days / projects require X% upfront / retainers bill on X date. Do not publish example terms that do not match your actual process.

06

No guaranteed search or business results

SEO, local search, AI Search visibility, rankings, traffic, leads, conversions, revenue, citations, or platform visibility can be influenced by search engines, competitors, websites, algorithms, market conditions, implementation quality, third-party platforms, and factors outside one consultant’s control.

Unless a specific written agreement says otherwise, recommendations and services should not be presented as a guarantee of a particular ranking, traffic level, lead volume, revenue result, AI citation, or timeline.

07

Intellectual property

Website text, branding, graphics, design elements, frameworks, downloads, and other original materials may be protected by intellectual-property law. Visitors should not reproduce, redistribute, sell, or republish protected material without permission except where law allows.

For paid client work, ownership and licence terms for audits, reports, strategy documents, templates, deliverables, or pre-existing methodologies should be defined in the relevant project agreement.

08

Third-party platforms and links

The website or services may involve platforms such as Google, analytics products, CMS tools, hosting providers, AI platforms, payment processors, scheduling tools, or other third-party services. Those services are operated independently and may change their products, policies, availability, pricing, or algorithms.

Links to third-party sites are provided for convenience and do not automatically mean endorsement or control of their content.

09

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

Website information is provided for general informational purposes and should not be treated as legal, financial, tax, or other regulated professional advice. Any limitation-of-liability clause used for paid services must reflect applicable law and your actual contract structure.

Add the legally appropriate limitation wording for your business entity and jurisdiction after professional review rather than relying on a generic internet clause.

10

Cancellation, suspension and ending services

Describe when either party may cancel or terminate a project, what notice is required, what happens to work already completed, outstanding invoices, account access, deliverables, licences, and any obligations that continue after termination.

Use your actual terms, for example X days’ written notice / non-refundable completed work / access removed after final payment.

11

Governing law and disputes

Specify the law and jurisdiction that genuinely applies to the business and the agreed process for resolving disputes. This may depend on your location, business entity, clients, and contracts.

Placeholder: These terms are governed by the laws of [jurisdiction], subject to any mandatory rights that cannot legally be excluded.

12

Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated when the website, services, business processes, or legal requirements change. The latest published version and “Last updated” date should indicate which version applies to website use.

13

Questions about these terms

Provide a clear contact route for questions about website use, service terms, invoices, or legal notices.

Before publishing: replace every highlighted placeholder and align these website terms with your real proposal, invoice, cancellation, refund, intellectual-property, liability, governing-law, and client-contract process. Have the final wording reviewed for your applicable jurisdiction.
